Yet I will show love to Judah; and I will save them – not by bow, sword or battle, or by horses and horseman, but I, the LORD their God, will save them. ~ Hosea 1:7
Have you ever felt like you have sinned so bad that there is no way God could ever forgive you? Maybe lost hope that you were to far gone for God to save you?
Well today’s reading in Hosea chapter 1, you hear what God has to say to Hosea on what to name his children; and the one name that stuck out to me was when God was telling Hosea what to name his daughter, Lo-Ruhamah. After God tells Hosea this He goes on to tell Hosea how His plan is to show love to Judah and save them.
You have to remember how God sent His son Jesus done to save us all from our own sin, this showing us how much He truly loves us. So yes we may sin, but God has given us a way to heaven and that’s through Jesus; so no matter how bad we sin as long as we repent He will except us with open arms because He is the supreme and heavenly father.
feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one’s wrongdoing or sin.
Definition of Repent
Now if you are unsure of what I mean by repenting, it means to give up what was causing you to sin and ask for God’s forgiveness.
See a personal example I can use is that before I had found out I was going to be a mom, I had fallen deeply in Wiccan beliefs and gave up my belief in God. I was studying witchcraft and no longer worshiped in the Christian God. Well when I had found out I was pregnant, if you had read my previous post on my journey of becoming a mom you know about how the doctors tried to tell me that my child was dead; and how I refused to believe that they were right. Well after finding this out I had decided to repent, which I believe was God’s plan with giving me the gift of a mother.
Prayer:
God thank you so much for the gift I call my daughter and for giving me a way to you, through your son Jesus Christ. I am grateful everyday that you had sent me down my daughter to save me from Satan’s grasp, and for giving up your son so I may be saved and given the second chance to do right by you. Amen.
